So I’m sharing this post not to show everyone how awesome my life is and make others feel bad for their own.
I’d like to share my realization in the hopes that my story resonates with at least one person.
I realized Monday as I wrestled with the detox side effects throughout my body since last Thursday evening-I was absorbing the COVID noise producing additional detrimental side effects.
All I had to do was ask and my dear sweet boyfriend Stephane Goddard was there within the hour. A comforting hug, veggie wonton soup, some card games and his first Jenga game (he won) and I felt better. Not great but better.
I am grateful for the effort of simply driving from Guelph to hang out for a couple hours and head back out again. Feeding me taking every symptom into consideration.
This is something I have never experienced before. I’ve always been the one to go running.
It’s uncomfortable however blissful to finally comprehend LOVE. It’s about the smallest of gestures to make the ones you care about, not simply partners, wives|husbands, girl|boyfriends, but everyone in our lives feel special and cherished.
Sometimes 1 simple text, email or better yet a phone |video call goes a long way to saying ‘hey, I’ve got you on my mind’, that fact alone illustrates their importance in your life.
